Alors que notre critique des deux derniers tomes du Livre malazéen des glorieux défunts arrive bientôt sur le site, voilà que les premiers détails concrets (à savoir la couverture et le synopsis) sur le premier tome de la prochaine série de Steven Erikson, The Kharkanas Trilogy, font leur apparition sur la toile.
Vous le savez déjà si vous suivez l'actualité de l'auteur canadien, The Kharkanas Trilogy fera office de préquelle au Livre malazéen, se déroulant quelques centaines de milliers d'années avant la fameuse saga, et racontera les évènements qui ont conduit à la chute de Kharkanas, la grande cité du Labyrinthe des Ténèbres et la capitale des Tiste Andii. Après l'influence homérique, Erikson semble s'orienter vers quelque chose de plus shakespearien et répète à l'envi que cette trilogie sera très différente de sa première série.
The Forge of Darkness, dont voici le synopsis et la couverture, est attendu pour le 2 août au Royaume-Uni et le 18 septembre aux États-Unis. Les deux tomes suivants devraient s'intituler Fall of Light et Walk in Shadow.
